The story of a photographer

I was born in Romania and earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Bucharest. After working in various multinational corporations, I realized that my true passion lay elsewhere. So, I made a bold decision to leave everything behind and follow my secret dream. I moved to Rome and, after attending the Roman School of Photography, I discovered a deep love for documenting the world around me in an authentic and meaningful way. I started with travel photography and later transitioned to family photography.

The birth of my children made me profoundly aware of how fleeting time is, inspiring me to embark on an artistic journey—capturing their milestones, interests, and the beauty of everyday life. Through this, I developed a storytelling approach that blends creativity with raw emotion.

Since 2010, I have been working as a professional family and portrait photographer, and in 2016, I specialized in birth photography. Drawing from my personal experiences, I am also engaged in long-term documentary projects exploring themes of motherhood, identity, interpersonal relationships, and family.

Beyond photography, I find peace in nature—mountain trekking is my ultimate escape. I also love reading and continuously learning new things. Meeting people from all over the world enriches me deeply, giving me the chance to connect, exchange cultures, and hear incredible life stories.

Other than Italian, English and Romanian, I speak some French.

“"Alina was wonderful to work with!

Ahead of the shoot, she was very quick with responses and great ideas for locations.

When we met for our shoot, she was warm and personable right away, and I appreciated how she interacted with our kids (ages 10, and 12) to try to make them more comfortable with the process.

She worked very quickly and took us to several great locations. We ended up with a nicedonec.”
